Here are my answers to Cee’s Share Your World 2016 Week 42:

If you wanted to de-clutter where you live, what room / space would you start with?  (And why, if you’re feel like admitting to it.)
It seems like I de-clutter the entire house constantly.  And then when I am asleep naughty gnomes invade my house and re-clutter.
My art studio, (aka kitchen) is organised chaos.  I’m always working on a project.  Sometimes I do too much straightening up and then forget where I put things.  Which of course leads to more clutter as I hunt them down.  It’s a vicious circle! 🙂

If you want to remember something important, how do you do it (sticky note on the fridge, string around your finger, etc.), and does it work?
I use sticky notes (when I can find where I’ve hidden the blank ones) on my computer keyboard and scraps of paper with lists of things to do.

If you could create a one room retreat just for yourself, what would be the most important sense to emphasize:  sight (bright natural light, dim light, etc.), hearing (silence, music, fountain, etc.), smell (candles, incense, etc), touch (wood, stone, soft fabrics, etc.), or taste (herbal tea, fresh fruit, etc.)?
Definitely silence is the first priority.  I live on a busy street which sounds like a perpetual car race.
Sometimes I like natural light for meditation and sometimes I like total darkness.
No artificial fragrance allowed!  Fresh lemon might be nice sometimes.
Velvet and tapestry fabrics, wood, lots of shells and a bottle of ocean water.
No food allowed.

If you could interview one of your great-great-great grandparents, who would it be (if you know their name) and what would you ask?
I don’t know their names.  I am in the process of finding out more about my ancestors.

  1. Oooo I SO recognise those ‘naughty gnomes’ – they clearly spread their wings far and wide as they’ve just had a field day at my house!! I’ve woken this morning thinking YIKES… Where are the ‘magic fairies’ who are going to deal with this? … Great insight – thanks for sharing and making me smile!
