Here are my answers to Cee’s Share Your World 2016 Week 50
What is your favorite smell? What memory does it remind you of?
The ocean, of course! Not so much memory but feeling free, breathing in the salt air, sea spray in my hair, being in the moment, connecting with the elements.
What type of pet do you have or want to have?
I would love to have a dog but going out early in the morning in bad weather is making me hesitate.
I also like cats but do not like litter boxes.
Fish, maybe?
Are you usually late, early, or right on time?
Although I don’t wear a watch, I am always early.
For recharging, would you rather meditate, swim, walk, listen to music, write, read, yoga, qigong other?
Read or listen to music.
Your answer to #1 is so evocative. I love the artwork with this one, especially. She looks like she is daydreaming…so peaceful. Nice!

Lovely! Regarding pets — I of course recommend a cat! Litter boxes are really very easy. (I hear they even make automatic ones these days.) Love your mermaid drawing!! Ah, the smell of the sea…

I used to mind a neighbour’s pets occasionally. They did not have the automatic litter box and picking up dog poo from the street was not a fun experience 🙂

Yes — that is the pesky part of pets, haha! 🙂

We’ve had all three types of pets that you mention. Fish are a lot of work, way more work than cleaning a litter box. The litter box is icky business, but better than being out in the cold first thing in the morning. Dogs can be litter trained, too. Our grand-doggers were litter trained. 🙂
You always draw such pretty pictures. 🙂
Have a blessed week!

I’m beginning to think that maybe the birds in the garden are the best pets for me. I only need to feed them and the rest they take of on their own 🙂

I think outside birds are great pets. 🙂 I remember way back when we had a yard full of cardinals and all sorts of other birds. It was great. The poop everywhere was icky, but watching the birds live their lives and raise their families was wonderful. 🙂 Have a blessed day!

I guess I’m lucky. The birds are eating the seeds I put in the feeder and pooping elsewhere! 😀

Very lucky! Our yard is a great bird habitat with all levels of trees ans shrubs around. The birds seemed to really enjoy it. Our patio stayed covered in poop. For the most part that was okay. I never went out there except to feed the birds. 🙂

Yeah, fish are pretty low maintenance. Until you have to wash out their tank 🙂

Yes, that’s what I’ve heard! I have terrible visions of trying to scoop the fish out of the water and they jump out of the net! 🙂

These are good answers. We litter trained our grand-doggers, like Suz said. The one she has now is trained to use a disposable pad. It is a little costly, but it works well.

I’ve heard of those wee-wee pads 🙂 I’m still mulling all the scenarios over 🙂

How about a ferret? Comical, looks halfway between a cat and a dog, not so smelly if you have them neutured and still a pet.

Hmm..a ferret! Someone I knew had a ferret. It kept getting lost in the house. No doubt it was trying to ferret out some treats 🙂
Thanks for the Twitter tag. I haven’t joined yet but I was able to check out the site. It looks very interesting!

Fresh baked bread is one of my favorite smells. When I was a child, there was a small bakery on Emma Avenue. In the summer the aroma of fresh baked bread, donuts, cakes, and other confections wafted out the screen door and down the sidewalk. You could buy 3 donuts for a quarter in those days. It was heavenly.
I’m a dog lover and have had a variety of breeds over the years including hunting dogs. Right now, we have a black lab named Buster. He’s over 14 years old, so I don’t know how much longer he’ll be around.
Almost any activity I do alone, such as hunting, fishing, or outdoor work helps recharge my mental battery.

I love walking past bakeries! I have to restrain myself from going inside too often.
Labs are great dogs! That’s the breed I would have if I decide to have a dog. 🙂
