Ever ran out of gas in your vehicle?

This is my car.  It’s great on gas and needs no insurance!

Which are better: black or green olives?
Hmmm, I don’t know.  I love all olives.

If you were a great explorer, what would you explore?
I have not been to India, Turkey or China.

Quotes List: At least three of your favorite quotes?
I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work. Thomas Edison
bulb(Said this to myself many times!)

Better to be silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt. (I’m not sure who said this first but it’s excellent advice!)

Out, damned spot! Out, I say!  Lady Macbeth.  (Usefully applies to various circumstances.)

  1. Got to love your vehicle. I can just see us with that here on the Gulf Coast. It is already in the 90s and the wind speed is like 490 mph. Have a great week.,

  2. I agree with the quote about being quiet, but I sure have a hard time doing it when someone makes me mad. I need to practice more of Proverbs 17:28 “Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.” King James Version (KJV)

I think I’ve found about 10,000 wrong ways to do everything I’ve ever tried to do. haha

    Have a blessed week!

    • Yes, I am right there with you! 10,000 wrong and counting. I’ve taught myself how to do all the technical computer stuff and home repairs. It may take me a little longer but I get there in the end 🙂

      • Let’s here it for 11,000, eh? haha
Computers and smart phones are still a big challenge for me in many ways, but I have been able to figure some things out along the way. I guess it doesn’t matter how long it takes us to get there, just so long as we get there eventually. 🙂

  3. I like that you do not favor one color olive over the other. You never know who might take offense! 🙂 So, I looked into who first said “Better to be silent…” and came up with this from QuoteInvestigator.com: “There is a biblical proverb that expresses a similar idea, namely Proverbs 17:28. Here is the New International Version followed by the King James Version of this verse: 1

Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue.

Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.”

They do, however, concede that the wording in your quote is much more humorous.

    • All olives are excellent! 🙂
QuoteInvestigator.com –why didn’t I think of that? Funny, I never heard the other versions; just that one. I have used that quote, much to the annoyance of others, several times. 🙂
Of course, ‘Out, damned spot!” I’ve also used on a number of occasions 😉
