The September 2019 climate strikes are a series of international strikes and protests led by young people and adults to demand action be taken to address climate change. The strikes will centre around the dates September 20, which is three days before the United Nations Climate Summit, and September 27.

I sure *hope* it’s not too late… I’m starting to feel panic…

It’s very scary how quickly the rain forests and oceans are being destroyed. Whole species of plants and animals are disappearing at an alarming rate. 😦

I couldn’t believe when I heard the rate of deforestation in the Amazon 😦

I know! It’s astronomical! I saw a news story about clear-cutting old growth forests and was absolutely astonished that anyone thinks this is a good thing! 😦
I’m really proud of all the young people who organised protests all over the planet this week!

I’m so glad the young are rising beyond hopelessness. I wish the strikes had gotten more coverage~ seems always the way with earth/climate things that there is just not a lot of coverage. Even Earth Day has never really taken hold in significant ways. I don’t get it….

I don’t either! The planet has been ravaged for centuries. I don’t understand how so many don’t see that.
