What’s better than flowers? Free flowers!
The year after my rude, entitled neighbour dumped all her snow in my back garden (and killed one of my forsythias), she planted yellow cone flowers (left side of photo) on the border of her property. They migrated onto my property and then I had the fence installed, which guarantees new flowers on my side every year. π
Last year I picked some goldenrod (right side of photo) which grows in great abundance on the side of the road. I sprinkled the flowers, after drying them, in the back garden in the hope they would bloom this year. Much to my delight, they did! π
LOL. Aren’t neighbors fun? At least you got some new flowers out of it.

I was rather shocked that she thought she had every right to do that. Now my new neighbour asked if she could put her snow in my driveway!?!

No way. Really? And you didn’t immediately say, “Sure – of course I’ll shovel out both my snow and yours, go ahead and start dumping on me.”?

I like free flowers. I do not like rude and inconsiderate neighbours!

Who was it that said, “Good fences make good neighbors,”? A wise soul indeed. Love the yellow π.

I agree entirely! It’s a proverb that Robert Frost included in one of his poems. π Yellow is such a happy colour.

The amazing things that nature and a good fence will do. Iβd love to see the look on your neighbours face

That would be funny. π Thankfully, I don’t have to see her face at all because all the plants on the other side of my fence grew very tall. π

Beautiful! But what a rude neighbor! I can’t imagine “putting snow” in someone’s yard. It doesn’t even make sense, haha π Glad you have the lovely flowers.

I wouldn’t have believed it either unless it happened to me. π

That’s a lovely garden, I bet it’s nice to sit out in when it’s sunny π You have mad neighbours.

It would be nice if the neighbour on the other didn’t have a dog that barks for hours. I tried sitting outside when I first moved in. Impossible! If I’m doing some work in the garden there is non-stop barking. They seem to think the noise stops at the property lines.

Why is it that some neighbours just have to be like that? And most of us have at least one of them? When we lived in Australia one of our neighbours used to go through our trash at night. Why, I’m not sure … At least you got some flowers out of it π The ying & yang

My penultimate neighbor was the ‘Neighbor from Hell,’ causing me to relocate 20 years ago to my current home, where I have the best neighbor I’ve ever had. The Hell-Neighbor doesn’t know what a favor he did me by being so nasty and obnoxious that I had to move, and in doing so, changed my life from miserable to agreeable (and then some). Fate was kind!

Thank goodness it worked out well for you! I wonder why there are so many hellish neighbours?! They need to be moved to their own island where they can make each other miserable. π
