Room With A View #4

What’s better than flowers? Free flowers!

The year after my rude, entitled neighbour dumped all her snow in my back garden (and killed one of my forsythias), she planted yellow cone flowers (left side of photo) on the border of her property. They migrated onto my property and then I had the fence installed, which guarantees new flowers on my side every year. πŸ™‚

Last year I picked some goldenrod (right side of photo) which grows in great abundance on the side of the road. I sprinkled the flowers, after drying them, in the back garden in the hope they would bloom this year. Much to my delight, they did! πŸ™‚

    • It would be nice if the neighbour on the other didn’t have a dog that barks for hours. I tried sitting outside when I first moved in. Impossible! If I’m doing some work in the garden there is non-stop barking. They seem to think the noise stops at the property lines.

  1. Why is it that some neighbours just have to be like that? And most of us have at least one of them? When we lived in Australia one of our neighbours used to go through our trash at night. Why, I’m not sure … At least you got some flowers out of it πŸ˜‰ The ying & yang

  2. My penultimate neighbor was the ‘Neighbor from Hell,’ causing me to relocate 20 years ago to my current home, where I have the best neighbor I’ve ever had. The Hell-Neighbor doesn’t know what a favor he did me by being so nasty and obnoxious that I had to move, and in doing so, changed my life from miserable to agreeable (and then some). Fate was kind!
