Happy Autumn and Happy Spring!

The days are noticeably shorter and there is a chill in the night air in the Northern hemisphere. Some of the trees are beginning to don their Autumn colours as we approach the dark season of the year.

Alban Elfed is the second harvest festival of the year, occurring on the 21st or 22nd of September. The apple and grape harvests are celebrated. Vegetables, fruits and herbs are ready to be picked and preserved for the coming Winter.

A time for giving thanks! And also a time to evaluate the progress made on goals set earlier in the year. Did everything work out as planned? Wishing everyone a fruitful harvest!

For everyone in the Southern hemisphere, the days are getting longer, trees and plants are sprouting new leaves. And it’s time to start sowing seeds, begin new projects and make new plans.

Wishing everyone a Happy Spring!

  1. Equinox, it’s like a short time when the Earth is in balance and a chance to get some balance in your life … though it’s windy here and will try to blow you off balance! Beautiful sunny and warm yesterday, snow forecast for the weekend! I enjoyed post, enjoy the weekend!

  2. What stunning oak art! Here in Montreal our trees are juuuust beginning to redden. The best vistas now are still further north, but we’d have to beg/borrow a car to travel in, since we don’t have one.

  3. I actually get a bit melancholy during Autumn. The leaves are falling off the trees; winter is on its blustery cold way; a time for self-accounting. It’s more serious than Spring or Summer. But along comes Halloween to cheer everyone up!
