Happy Summer Solstice! Happy Winter Solstice!

The Summer Solstice, also known as Midsummer and Litha, has been celebrated by various cultures all around the world for millennia. The longest day and the shortest night of the year is a celebration of the sun. In the Northern hemisphere everything is green and growing as we await a fruitful harvest. Wishing everyone a joyful and magickal Summer Solstice!

In the Southern hemisphere, the shortest day and longest night marks the first day of Winter. The Winter Solstice is a good time to reflect on the past year and make plans for the year ahead. Wishing everyone a joyful and magickal Winter Solstice!

  1. Beautiful images from your wheel! Happy Summer Solstice to you and any magical ones around your home. For us in Texas it seems as if summer had been her for a month or so already. But I am grateful for another Summer Solstice to celebrate. Cheers!

  2. It is another great marker in the natural world. Having said that, in our world it is not something eagerly awaited, as it pretty much keeps getting hot and hotter till the day. At the same time, it is also a signal that that is about to start changing. Wishing you a magickal solstice!
