Mabon, the Second Harvest
Autumnal Equinox

The days are noticeably shorter and there is a chill in the night air in the Northern hemisphere. Some of the trees are beginning to don their Autumn colours. The GreenMan, a symbol of green and growing plants, is all dressed up for Fall as we approach the dark season of the year.
Mabon is the second harvest festival of the year, occurring on the 21st or 22nd of September. The apple and grape harvests are celebrated. Vegetables, fruits and herbs are ready to be picked and preserved for the coming Winter. A time for giving thanks! And also a time to evaluate the progress made on goals set earlier in the year. Did everything work out as planned?
Wishing everyone a fruitful harvest!
We can also breathe a sigh of relief; Mercury Retrograde is over!
How wonderful. I love the autumnal colours. Strangely … where I live at the moment, the oranges are starting to ripen. What a fantastic planet we live on. All the very best. Chris. 😃

We are a few weeks away from the leaves turning, but autumn is always one of my favorite times of the year. Looking forward to the first frost.

Mine, too! I’m not a fan of hot weather unless I’m on a beach 🙂

Autumn has the best colours, hopefully we get a mild Autumn here in the UK. 🙂

There really is something magical about Autumn as we reap the fruits of our labour through the year.. And the colour in the trees – spectacular. Happy Mabon to you my magical friend! x
